New Job

With our finances being what they are, it's become necessary for me to go back to work.  A previous co-worker of mine contacted me a few days ago, to let me know that the place she works at is hiring.  It's called CCSI and they are a dispatch center for people who are calling for a cab.  It's for cab companies located throughout different parts of the U.S.  This job is appealing to me because it's open 24/7 so, I would be able to work at night and we wouldn't have to hire a babysitter or take kids to daycare.  It's VERY important with me that they are with a parent or family member at all times.  I also work well in call centers, which is interesting because I HATE talking on the phone.  So, today I went over to CCSI, filled out an application and turned it in.  I was lucky enough to be there the same time as the manager, Ben, was there.  He interviewed me on the spot and OFFERED ME A JOB!  I'm very excited and also a bit nervous.  It's a hard transition from being a stay-at-home Mom to being committed to a job.  However, we NEED this bad and so, I'm in!  I'm so grateful to have found something that works with what we need!  My schedule will most likely be M-F 6:00-9:30pm or 10pm.  Then on Saturday's I would work a longer shift.  I was also concerned because I had already signed up and paid the fee's for some races in the next few months.  Ben was understanding of that and granted me the time off that I needed for that.  I'm excited to have the chance to get out of the house and do something different for a change.  Don't get me wrong, I am VERY HAPPY to be a Mom and spend my days with my children!  It's what I always wanted and is important to me.  I just think that for my insanity, as well as everyone else's, this may be what I need right now.  I'm nervous about being the newbie and figuring out my place and being EXCELLENT at my job!  SO VERY BLESSED though to have gotten this job!  I'll start on April 2nd!

Go Laura! I've said it before, and I'll say it again... You are my inspiration. When it comes to doing hard things, you tackle it by the horns and wrestle it to the ground. I know you will do so good at this!
