Let's Go Outback Tonight!!!!

Amanda, Kate, & Dave Knox (M.I.A. Henry Knox)Mike & Connor munching on a Bloomin' Onion
I promise we're not as drunk as we look...or even drunk at all!
Mike's YM advisor growing up (The Abbotts) came in from Las Vegas to see their daughter and family (the Knox's). They got in touch with us and we went out to dinner with the Abbotts, Knox's, and Mariam Gubler. We went to Outback had a great time. It was fun to hang out with Mike's Vegas buddies! It's amazing how many people live out here that either Mike or I grew up with!!!! "It's a small world after all! " :)

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

"Eat your breaded weenie Justin!!!!"
Connor prepares for the kill!
Thirst takes over! Mmmmm, gotta' love that mango juice!!!!
On Memorial Day we had a BBQ with some friends. There were about 13 of us there! We had such a great time! Mike and Brad grilled the ribs, corn, brats, and steak. There were yummy salads, beef pie, yummy drinks, and Diana made THE BEST homemade ice cream/custard EVER!!!! After filling our bellies we went to a nearby park where we played on the playground, played a little football, and even got in a friendly game of softball. We learned that Megan can swing so high that she could take the swing out of the ground, Mike can dive, fly and swoop all in the name of saving Connor's life! It was great day, the weather was perfect, and the company was great!!!!

Friends At Last....For Now Anyway!

Ahhhh, how cute!!!!

Artists in the making!!!
I was at Amy's house, watching a movie on this day. Connor and Abbie usually fight like cats and dogs, brothers and sisters, or whatever other comparison you want to make. Anyway, today was a very lucky day! They got along, as you can see, very well! Oh happy day! Of course, the next time we hung out, they were hitting and stealing toys from each other again. Oh well! We'll take whatever happy days we can get!!!!

SOME OF NEW YORK'S FINEST!!!!

I was taking a walk down memory lane, from serving my mission in NYC, when I came across this photo. Elder Auman and Sister Jeppesen hard at work!!!! This particular picture was taken at the LaGuardia Airport in New York. Andrew served in the New York New York North Mission while I served in the New York New York South Mission. He was there to drop off missionaries and I was there to pick up missionaries!!! What a small world! What many of you don't know, that makes this so interesting, is that Elder Auman is my cousin. We grew up together and got called to neighboring missions!!!! This is one of the two times I was lucky enough to run into him. The other time was at a joint Mission Conference with his mission and ours. We met in Manhattan, where the temple is now, and had a conference where Elder Nelson & President Faust were the speakers! It was awesome and so amazing!!!!!

How cute!!!!

For the past couple days I have been babysitting Beckett for a friend. He's a very cute little munchkin, only 11 weeks old. Connor is very persistent about holding him and seems to think that if Beckett is crying that he is the one to calm him down and needs to take over. However, don't get the idea that Connor was the perfect helper the whole time. Ohh noo! That would be too easy. Connor definitely gave me a run for my money while babysitting. Thank heavens Beckett was an easy baby to care for but, my eyes have been opened and I am thinking that Connor may be an only child now. Ha ha! Just kidding!

My Buddy and Me!!!!

Connor has made a new friend!!! His name is LaDel (sp?) and he lives 2 buildings away from where we live. He's a little 5 year old who loves to come over and play with Connor. Connor just adores him and has become him little shadow. So much so that wherever LaDel goes Connor thinks he needs to follow. They are so cute together. They will sit and play in the living room and/or the patio, just going back and forth! The cutest is when Connor escapes and LaDel goes after him and carries him back to our apartment (as seen above). I'm glad Connor has another buddy to play with!

FFFFFFFFOOOOUUUUURRRRR!!!!!!

On Tuesday, April 24th, Mike, Connor, and myself went golfing at Waverly Golf Course. The day was perfect, the golf course wasn't busy, and we just had a great time being together as a family for the first time in a few months. What a blast! I learned many things. 1st: The sight of me golfing would make anyone shudder. 2nd: Mike should be a professional golfer. 3rd: Connor can hit a ball harder than I can so he's well on his way to being a pro. 4th: Make sure you drive your golf cart straight up a hill, instead of sidways, or your golf cart will tip over. 5th: Waverly Golf Course is hungry and will eat your golf balls. 6th: I would do better to drive Mike around and cheer him on. So..."Go, Mike, Go!!!!". In all seriousness....I enjoy my little family and was so happy to be together and having a great time!!!!

Delta Mills Park

Tonight Connor and I were feeling restless. I didn't want to be home, it was still light outside, and it was actually a very nice day!!! So, I decided to take Connor to Delta Mills Park to play on the play ground! He absolutely LOVES to be outside!!!! He just couldn't get enough of it. After playing on something he would say goodbye to it, wave, and then move onto something else. Unfortunately it got cold and started to get dark so we had to head home. We're definitely going to make this a habit!!!!

Future Construction Builder!!!

During Christmastime, right before the Call's left for Idaho, Megan gave Connor a gingerbread house making kit. So, one day we opened it and Connor had a blast!!! The pictures aren't the most clear but there was frosting EVERYWHERE!!! It was on his hair, his face, fingers, clothes, and it was all over me too! It's all good though because we had a great time...until the whole thing came crashing down! A few more years of practice and Connor will be building houses like they're going out of style! Ha ha ha!

Up, Up, and Away!!!!

On January 30th, Connor & I flew back to Utah to visit our families in St. George and Wellsville. We were fortunate enough to find a great deal from the Lansing airport. It was very nice and convenient. I was just so excited to go to the airport. Anyone who knows me well, knows of my fascination with airplanes and airports. Watching the people is entertainment enough! Connor also has a love for airplanes and totally loved watching them while we were waiting to board the plane. Traveling with Connor, by myself, was SO MUCH work! It wore me out! Luckily, my fairy godmother gave me some magic potion to help Connor relax and get some sleep. That helped a lot because he fell asleep before we could take off and then slept for about 45 minutes. The rest of the time he spent jabbering to the passenger sitting next to us, who happened to be a professional gambler!!!
Notice the "Dum-Dum" sucker sticking out of Connor's mouth. This was another wonderful trick to keep Connor happy and entertained for a few brief moments!
"Airplane! Airplane!"
Introducing Lansing airports finest, most handsome, adorable, and happy passenger!!!

Spring Has Sprung, Or Has It?

These are a couple pictures taken on April 11th. We had a huge snow storm that day! I just love Springtime in Michigan! It makes me think of snowmen, hot chocolate, and tubing! Gotta' love it! I think the weather has alzheimer's because I think it has forgotten what it is supposed to look like in the Springtime! Ha ha!

Where Oh Where Can My Connor Be?

On this day I was doing my usual jobs of cleaning the house, laundry, etc. I could hear Connor saying, "Mommy! Mommy!" I looked everywhere and seriously could not find him. I could still hear him. Lo & behold, he had climbed inside the dryer and couldn't get himself out!!!
Connor loves to help me do laundry. I had asked him to take the basket back to our bedroom, where we keep it. He was taking a long time so I went back to check on him. He had climbed inside the basket and was just sitting there chilling out & having a good time.
For some reason we had the stroller in our living room. Connor was pushing the stroller around the living room, like he usually does. Pretty soon I heard him very upset and mad. I looked down and he had climbed into the basket below and was, once again, very stuck!

More Pictures from Christmas

I know these pictures are VERY late but we're one of the old school people who still have a film-loaded camera. You'd think we're from the dark ages. Anyway, I just got these developed. Enjoy!
Christmas Eve Dinner
LET THE OPENING BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Connor opening up his couch!
He loved this couch so much! After opening he sat on it and wasn't interested in opening any other gifts. In the pictures to follow you will see what I mean!
Connor still glued to his couch!
Connor's train set
This is a tractor that Grandpa & Grandma Jeppesen gave him.
Mike making Christmas breakfast!
Of course, we had to give him a Christmas haircut. J/K! It's not a tradition or anything. He just really needed a haircut!

Connors 1st Surgery!!!!

Connor & Mom waiting to be taken down to surgery!
Connor & Mom posing in their cute hats and outfits! Cheeeeeese!
Connor had his first surgery today. Hopefully it will be his last for a very long time! Connor has, or should I say had, Tongue Tie. While it's not a serious condition it could've caused him to talk with a lisp or with speech problems. Today he had surgery to clip the underneath part of the tongue. The surgery went great and Dr. Goebel did a great job with Connor. It only took 10 minutes, if that, to do the surgery! Connor was a very brave little boy and performed for everyone there! However, because of the tongue being numbed and coming out of the anesthetics Connor bit a chunk out of the right side of his tongue. The best way Mike can think of describing it is that it looks like his tongue went through a meat grinder. It was pretty gruesome and was bleeding like crazy! I felt so bad for Connor! He was so confused and WOULD NOT stop biting on his tongue. I eventually had to leave and take a walk because the blood, etc. and seeing him cry and mad really upset me and made me sick. When I returned Mike had calmed him down, he was happier, and had stopped biting his tongue! We were able to get the bleeding to slow down enough to go home! Phew! He's getting back to normal and we're glad that is over with!

Too Cute For Words!!!!

Here's my most favorite little munchkin in the whole world!!! Who can resist such an adorable little boy! I know that I can't!!! Connor will be 2 years old in 15 days! Where has all the time gone? Although he's in his wonderful and terrible 2 stage I love him even more!!! I love the things he does, says, and comes up with!!!!! I love you Connor!!!!

Play Group

For at least 4 or 5 months now a group of Mom's and their kids have been meeting every Wednesday for Play Group! It's a great time to let the munchkins run wild and to let the Mom's, or whoever, gain some sanity and have so girl talk or any grown up talk at all! We have such a great time together! I love the girls and kids Connor & I hang out with! Each of them have a special something to bring! "Good times" as a good friend always says!

Date Night!!!

Amy & Abbie Christensen came over for a visit one day! It was so much fun watching Connor & Abbie interact. Pretty soon they had the couch in front of the TV to watch kids shows, popped some popcorn, and all was having a good time! Of course they're a little young to be dating on their own so we were there to make sure no moves were made! Ha ha!
