Rylie Anne McGinnis

Rylie Anne McGinnis was born on March 17, 2008 at 9:09am. She weighed 6 lbs. 5 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long!!! We cannot tell you how excited we were to find out that we had a baby girl! The anticipation of waiting to know was intense! We love her so very much already! We feel so blessed! Here are just a few of the hundreds of pictures we have taken.

My Mom Has Arrived!!!!

My Mom is here! Yay! She was scheduled to fly into Detroit at 11:15pm. Well, her connecting flight in St. Louis had a problem. The engine on the plane broke down. So they had to wait for a different plane to come in. So, her flight got delayed 2 hours. She wasn't able to fly in until 1:15am!!! So, we ended up getting into Lansing at 3:30am this morning! We were EXHAUSTED! To top it off we came home to no heat and no hot water! Aaaagh! However, the maintenance crew just left and supposedly it's fixed. We shall see. Connor is so excited to have my Mom here, as am I. When Connor spotted my Mom at the airport he took off on a dead run to see her! It was so cute!!!! Connor is loving life now!

Nearly 9 Months Along!!!!

I decided that I should get a shot of me being pregnant this time around. I haven't really stopped to take a picture. In this picture I only have 10 days left before we deliver the baby.

MONSTERS!

Connor loves to play a game with Mike, which he calls "Monsters". It consists of chasing Mike around with a sword, wacking him with it, and yelling "Roar!!!!" Only Connor is allowed to do this. If Mike trys doing it to Connor, Connor replies that he needs to sit down and take a break. Well, tonight Connor and Mike were playing "Monsters" when Connor yells at Mike, "You taked away my victory!!!!" Where does he come up with this stuff?!?!?!? :) LOL!

I'm also pumped because I fixed my blog today! I was having problems with the links to everyone else's blogs. If I clicked on them it wouldn't show me any new updates from 3 days ago and forward. I was so frustrated and couldn't make it work! I just about deleted my blog because I was so frustated!!!! Then, I did some searching on some "HELP" sites and found some ideas to try. One finally worked! I had to clear my browser cache! As soon as I did that the problem was fixed! Hallelujah!!!!

MALL MANIA!!!!

As many of you know, from other blogs or just being there, we had another Girls Night Out on Friday! It was a BLAST!!!! It was titled Mall Mania. We divided into 2 groups. We had a long list of items that you had to get a picture of while actually doing it. We then went to Rylie's house and had root beer floats! Mmm! Here are a ton of pictures from the night!

2 WEEKS TO GO!!!!!

2 weeks from today I will be delivering our new little baby!!!!! Aaagh! I feel excitement and I feel scared too! I'm getting more excited though so that's a good thing! I had a Dr. appointment today. I told him about the intense pelvic pain/pressure/soreness. So, he felt my stomach and said, "That's because the baby's head is down really low." Go figure! Anyway, I came home. Kim came over and did my hair...THANK YOU KIM!!! After that, while I was cleaning up, I started having contractions. "OH CRAP, OH CRAP, OH CRAP!", were my exact thoughts!!! I do not want to have this baby until the 17th of March. I'm not ready yet. So, I took a shower and took a nap the same time as Connor (which ended up being a 4 hr. nap)and I seem to feel, for the most part, better. PHEW!!!! Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Connor's Birthday!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNOR!!!!

Today was Connor's 3rd Birthday!!!! I can't believe another year has gone by! Its been really fun preparing for his birthday this year because he realizes what's happening! Last night we made cupcakes and then I made a Lightening McQueen cake. Connor was so excited about it!!! He woke up every hour, starting around 12:30am, asking if it was time for his cake and muffins (cupcakes). He did it until 3am when he finally fell asleep! This morning, when he first woke, the first thing out of his mouth was, "I need my cake!!!!" at the top of his lungs. Later on we went to playgroup where he was able to play with his friends and celebrate with all of them. We took cupcakes that had the "Cars" theme on them. We also took a bunch of balloons for all the kids to play with! Connor was so happy and everyone was nice to him! After playgroup we came home where a package from Grandpa & Grandma Jeppesen was waiting! He opened it up to find clothes and a really fun Candyland game. After letting him play for while we snuck in a nap. When he woke up, after Mike had returned home from school, we had a little party for him. I had decorated the house, blew some balloons up, got some pizza, and the Call's also came over. Connor, once again, had a blast! He was so happy. His favorite gifts were the Candyland game and a cleaning cart (vaccum, mop, broom, etc.) that his Aunt Stacey & Uncle Shawn gave him. It was a great day! We love Connor so much and love what he brings to our family! He's so funny, smart, loving, and just so energetic!!! I'm so glad he is here!!!!

Family Night!

The other night Mike, Connor, and I made a little trip to the Eastwood Town Centre. First we went to McAlister's Deli for dinner! It's always so good there! Mike and I both ordered the French Dip! Yummy! Connor even ate some of it, along with a large amount of chips from Mike's dinner. That's ok. It left more mac & cheese for me! After that we all went over to Dick's Sporting Goods. Mike & Connor love to go in there to practice golfing and putting. I could tell Connor was a pro at doing this because he knew right where he was going, where to get the ball, and where to get the kid's putter. He even told me where I was supposed to stand so I wouldn't be in the way by saying, "Move, move, move!!!" and motioning me with his hand until he liked where I was standing. It was so cute to watch him mimic Mike!!!! Then we headed over to the camping gear. We were all just wandering around when I noticed Connor missing. I heard him saying, "Mom! Mom!" and found him inside the tent (photo above) just hanging out. He had put a camp chair inside, had zipped it up, and sat there for nearly 15 minutes! It was so funny! So, for his birthday, we bought him one of the kid's camp chairs. He'll be so excited! Once we were done there we headed to Baskin Robbins to try their new candy bar sundaes. Mike went and bought them while I took Connor over to Burger King to play in the playland. He had a blast! The sundaes were ok but I don't highly recommend them! I'll just stick to their regular ice cream cones! It was a fun night and Connor was so happy!!!!!!! He even stayed dry the whole night!

On Saturday the Call's invited us to go to Ceasarland with them. When we got down there it was a 45 minute wait before we could get in! Who knew???? So, we decided to go try Chuck E. Cheese's. It was the same problem there! Well, when you've got 2 very hungry pregnant women and 2 very anxious kids then you have to think fast on another plan! So, since we're sick-to-death of McDonald's we decided to take them to the Burger King on Waverly Rd., because it has a playland. It turned out the be a great choice! The kids had a blast and did not want to leave! Megan even got to sit down and relax because there were no stairs for Allie to climb up and fall down! Yay!!! So, after quite the adventure it ended up being a fun afternoon!

On Friday night Erika had a Girl's Night Out party at her house. We all wore pajamas, breakfast was served, and then we played games. Below are some pictures of some of the fun that went on!

The first game we played "Truth or Dare". This particular person chose a dare, which was to write "Fart" on her stomach with permanent black marker!

Erika had such a great idea to put a different choice for a game in balloons. Then each time we did a different game she would pop a balloon to see what it would be. The next one we did was pictionary!

The next game we chose to do was arm wrestling!!! What a blast it was! It was so much fun! I left with my right arm feeling like jello! There are some strong women in that group!!!! WOW!!!!

After a little friendly competition we played Erika's infamous question game. We learned many, many things about everyone. Like if we would get plastic surgery after getting trampled by a cow! Hey! It could totally happen! Of course, there were a lot more juicy questions asked and answered but, like they say (or like I say), what happens at Erika's house stays at Erika's house!!!

Thanks for a great night Erika!!!! We all had such a great time and it was so fun to laugh, be goofy, lounge in my pajamas, and just be silly girls! The time went by so fast! I couldn't believe it when Janee announced it was 1:40am!!!! I was sad to go home! I can't wait until we have another great girl's night.....which is this Friday for MALL MANIA!!!!!
