.........if you were trampled by a cow????

On Friday night Erika had a Girl's Night Out party at her house. We all wore pajamas, breakfast was served, and then we played games. Below are some pictures of some of the fun that went on!

Christie sporting some way cute pajamas!!!

The first game we played "Truth or Dare". This particular person chose a dare, which was to write "Fart" on her stomach with permanent black marker!

Erika had such a great idea to put a different choice for a game in balloons. Then each time we did a different game she would pop a balloon to see what it would be. The next one we did was pictionary!
The next game we chose to do was arm wrestling!!! What a blast it was! It was so much fun! I left with my right arm feeling like jello! There are some strong women in that group!!!! WOW!!!!
Natalie vs. Faith
Winner: NATALIE (I think. Correct me if I'm wrong)
Rylie vs. Erika
Winner: ERIKA
Laura vs. Erika
Winner: LAURA
Laura vs. Amberly
Winner: TIE/DEAD-LOCK!!!!
Amberly vs. Laura
Winner: TIE/DEAD-LOCK!!!!
Aubrey vs. Amberly
Winner: TIE/DEAD-LOCK!!!!
Christie vs. Sarah
Winner: I can't remember (someone help me out)
Kara vs. Rylie
Winner: I can't remember (someone help me out)

After a little friendly competition we played Erika's infamous question game. We learned many, many things about everyone. Like if we would get plastic surgery after getting trampled by a cow! Hey! It could totally happen! Of course, there were a lot more juicy questions asked and answered but, like they say (or like I say), what happens at Erika's house stays at Erika's house!!!

This is what happens when Amberly get a hold of your camera! LOL!

Say cheeeeeze!
A couple of the cutest munchkins ever!!!

Thanks for a great night Erika!!!! We all had such a great time and it was so fun to laugh, be goofy, lounge in my pajamas, and just be silly girls! The time went by so fast! I couldn't believe it when Janee announced it was 1:40am!!!! I was sad to go home! I can't wait until we have another great girl's night.....which is this Friday for MALL MANIA!!!!!

My Funny Boy!

Today, while I was in the kitchen making lunch for Connor, I heard Connor making weird noises from our bedroom, as if he was struggling or something. I hurry and went in because I was worried he was pooping all over the bedroom. Instead, this is how I found him. He had been trying to get dressed (putting on Mike's shirt) and stepped into the shirt through the sleeve of the shirt instead of putting his head through the correct hole. Thus, the noises of struggling. Obviously he was happy with how he ended up 'cause he looks perfectly content and happy now.

The Big 3-0 & Valentines Day!!!!!

No, it's not my birthday and me turning 30. Although I will be 30 this year, heaven help us all! Actually, it's only 30 days now until our baby arrives!!!! Holy smokes! Let the fun begin!

On another fun note, yesterday Mike & I celebrated Valentines Day because he had 2 classes the day before. I had already given Mike a gift and he hadn't had time to get me one, or so I thought. Yesterday I woke up from a nap to get ready to go on our date. I opened up our bedroom door and a card fell down on the ground. It was from Mike and it had a Claire's gift card inside. It also had a note that said, "I have fond memories of our wedding day", which meant I was going on a scavenger hunt! I love it when Mike does scavenger hunts!!!! The first place it sent me to was a gift behind one of our wedding pictures. I opened it up and it was a memory card! I became so dang excited because this could only mean one thing. The next clue, entailing something to do with music under my butt (no, not farts), led me to my piano bench. Inisde was a box which contained a DIGITAL CAMERA!!!!!!! Wooooo Hooooo! My husband is the best and way too generous! I'm so pumped 'cause now we'll be able to take pictures of the new baby and email them to my family ASAP instead of waiting to develop the film!!!! Thanks Mike! You rock!!!!
For our date we went to T.G.I. Friday's and had a yummy meal! We also ran into the Christensen's while we were there. After that we went and saw the new movie, "definitely, maybe". It was a very cute movie. I enjoyed it and Mike even lived through it. He said it wasn't the normal, cheezy, corny girl movie he's used to seeing with me! So wives, take your hubbies! Thanks for a great Valentines Day Mike! I love you more!

Tours, Snow Storms, and To-Do Lists

Wow! It's only Tuesday and I feel like it's been a long week already! First of all, I am finally feeling better and may live after all! Woo Hoo! So, our Branch was cancelled after Sacrament Meeting due to the weather and over 1/2 our congregation missing because of accidents, etc. The weather is FREEZING!!!! I just love it! Well, not really! I do wish I had my snowmobiles! It'd be so dang fun to go out and drive around because the snow is perfect for it!!!
This past weekend I had either a reality check or realized how behind I was on housework, etc. from being so sick. Needless to say, I had a breakdown when I realized how much I needed to do! Then, it hit me how much time is left until I deliver our new munchkin and the sobbing continued! I was completely and utterly overwhelmed. So, I did was O.C.D. (obsessive compulsive) people do best! I made a list! It kind of made me feel better to see what needed to do so I could mark it off as I go! When Monday morning the "To-Do" list came into effect. I decided to start with #1 (brilliant idea, eh?), which was to clean out the kitchen cupboards, reorganize, and make room for bottles and other feeding items. So, I began! It was a lot of work but I'm so glad I did it! My kitchen is much more organized, I know where things are, I know what things we have, and it's CLEAN!!!! I also made a spot that is specifically for bottles, etc. So, I then got all of our bottles, etc. out and began to clean. Another reality check set in! Holy cow! I have another child coming soon! Yes, I realize it's a little late to be noticing this, ha ha! However, although I was still scared and overwhelmed I also felt excitement and anxiousness for what's ahead. It also gave me more motivation to work hard and be as prepared as I can for this new baby!
Later that night I met up with Alyson, Amy, and Anders to go on tour of the Ingham Hospital. What an adventure that was! We weren't completely sure where to park so we followed a map. So, we parked in the parking garage. BIG MISTAKE!!!! It was the back entrance to the main part of the hospital. To find the Women/Children's Center was a maze and a half to go through! Yay for adventures!!!! We arrived and first met with a nurse who talked to us for a while. We then got to walk through the Delivery area, etc. to check it out. I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed. I delivered Connor in the Logan Regional Hospital. The Women's Center was brand new and the rooms are quite large, bigger than the ones in this hospital. However, these were still nice and would be totally fine! One thing they mentioned, that I really like, is that they quickly return the baby back to the mother after delivery! With Connor I didn't see him for 2-3 hours after the delivery. So, I'm excited about that! Anyway, it was really good to see where to go, what to expect, and to develop some sort of familiar feeling about the hospital.
This morning I woke up feeling completely not motivated AT ALL!!!! I just wanted to be lazy! The missionaries came over and got their hair cut. That kind of woke me up and got me going. After cleaning up and putting stuff away it was time to work on another item on my list. The item I chose to work on was organizing Connor's room, putting away baby gifts, and making room for the baby. So, off I went. Surprisingly enough it didn't take that long at all! It just took some focus and drive and I got it done pretty fast! Phew! Another item checked off my list!
I'm starting to feel better about things now. I only have a few, smaller items to do on my list before I'm caught up. Right now I'm more focused on getting my house back to normal, clean, and in some sort of order! It never ends, does it?

THE GIANTS DID GO ALL THE WAY!!!!

Although I am still pouting that my Dallas Cowboys didn't make it to the Super Bowl, I am FREAKIN' PUMPED that the New York Giants won and that the New England Patriots DID NOT walk away with a perfect season! The first 3 quarters were so BORING! However, the 4th quarter was awesome! Eli Manning was awesome, along withe the Giants defense! GO GIANTS!!!

Potty Training Progress?????

This week is a non-eventful week for us so, I decided that this week would be a good time to try potty training Connor again. So, we began this morning. We took the advice of Alyson and stuck Connor on his potty in front of the TV with juice and snacks. The first hour went great! He sat there, no problem, and after an hour he went pee. He was so very excited and ran around the house, screaming with excitement. About 30 minutes later we noticed him walking around funny so we asked if he needed to go poo poo. Sure enough he did but he would only do it in the privacy of his bedroom. He did it though. He goofed around for an hour with underwear on. An hour later we sat him down and he went pee again!!!!! So, Mike took him to McDonald's. After being there for a while Mike tried to get him to go potty on the toilet but he wouldn't because the toilets were "too big!" He came home, had a nap, and we tried again. He pee'd 4 times on the floor and once in the potty! I'm so overwhelmed and stressed I could cry and have cried! Am I making any progress? HELLLPPPPP!

Gordon B. Hinckley

Last night I received the news that President Hinckley had passed away, surrounded by his family. He died at the age of 96! There's not enough I could say about this amazing man! I know that I will deeply miss him as our Prophet! President Hinckley accomplished so much during his time on earth! I know the Lord is pleased with him and that President Hinckley did all that he was asked to do while he was here. I would've loved to have seen the reunion up in heaven as President Hinckley passed through the veil to see his wife, family, and his Heavenly Father again! I will forever be influenced by the things that he taught us and the things he did to help the church grow and progress so rapidly.

SICK OF BEING SICK!!!!

I just have to take a minute to vent! I AM SICK OF BEING SICK!!!!!! This year seems to have been a bad year for sickness, and continues on! Connor and I got really sick over Christmas break. We got home and then Mike came down with strep throat. Then I got this weird rash thing. So, we've been good for about 1 week now. Then BOOM!!!!! I get hit with a sickness again! I think it started on our way home from the auto show. I had this tickle in my throat that wouldn't go away and I couldn't stop coughing. So, I wake up the next day feeling HORRIBLE!!!! I had a headache and this horrible cough that burns every time I cough! Unfortunately it was Mike's busiest day at school so he couldn't help me. I wanted to die! When he got home I drank a ton of orange juice, hoping to get some good Vitamin C in me. BAD IDEA!!!! Acid reflex kicked in and, to spare you all details, it was a rough and painful night last night! I wake up this morning and feel like I got ran over by a steam roller! What a weekend to get sick! Today I had a meeting, then I was supposed to cut Anders hair, then I was supposed to go to a Branch activity that I was in charge of. Thank heavens my dear, sweet hubbie stepped up and said he would take Connor and do the activity for me!!! BLESS YOU MIKE!!!! So, now I'm trying to rest and will probably go to urgent care tonight to try and get a hold of whatever this thing is! I'm especially upset 'cause tomorrow was supposed to be piano lessons and the Miss Ameria Pageant party that Rylie, Megan, and I have been planning for weeks! I don't want to go and get everyone sick! Also, the Branch choir is singing on Sunday so I have to go& play! I want to cry! I'm miserable! That is all!

International Auto Show in Detroit

Yesterday we went with the Taylor's and Misseldine's to see the International Auto Show in Detroit! It was AWESOME!!!!! I found so many cars that I just had to have that I couldn't pick a favorite! Connor had a great time! He wanted to get into EVERY car and pretend he was driving. He would turn every dial and push every button! Of course it was also Mike's dream land! More than once I had to wipe the drool from his mouth! This picture was taken in an awesome Corvette!

Favorite Christmas Present

This is my favorite present that I opened for Christmas! Mike got me these awesome looking clippers and I love 'em!!!!! I've had my current clippers for almost 6 years. They got water on them and have rusted so I was in desperate need for new clippers. I had seen these and wanted them bad but couldn't get them. Well, my dear sweet husband gave me an awesome surprise for Christmas and gave me these clippers! Yay!!!!

The Date is Scheduled!!!!!

I had another Dr. appointment today for a prenatal visit. Today I got to have the wonderful glucose test and drink the yummy orange drink! Mmmm! At first it wasn't too bad but 1/2 way through drinking it I wanted to vomit! You'd think a sugar fanatic like me could handle it! So, I finished drinking the tonic juice then met with Dr. Gibbs. Everything is great with the baby. The heartrate was at 145, I'm measuring just a little bigger than I should but there's no concern, and I haven't gained any weight still! Wahoo! I also found out I've been having a few contractions but nothing serious. They just want me to drink more water. They took my blood to test for diabetes, etc. Unfortunately they had to take the blood from my had, which hurt like a bugger! The fun part was being able to schedule my c-section!!!!!! On March 17th (St. Patrick's Day), at around 8:30am, we will be meeting the new baby boy or baby girl McGinnis!!!!! I am so excited I am able to have the baby on that day and Dr. Gibbs will be the one performing the c-section.

We're Back!!!!!

Connor in front of Christmas tree at the St. George mall, right after he sat on Santa Claus's lap and told him what he wanted for Christmas.
My Dad, Mom, brother, wife, and 2 kids came down from Wellsville, to St. George, to visit us for the weekend after Christmas. We went bowling and had a blast! Connor loved it!

Mike hanging out at the security office in the Las Vegas airport
We're back from our long Christmas vacation in St. George, UT. We spent 2 1/2 weeks with Mike's family this year and even got to spend a little time with some of the members of my family. We had a good time and got many chances to relax. Mike went golfing nearling every day, we were able to go to the St. George temple, we hung out with family, played games until all hours of the morning, met with friends, I got a little pampering & makeover! Connor and I got sick while there, which made the vacation even more memorable. The first week went by a little slowly but once that week was done then the rest of the time flew by! Connor loved playing w/ his Grandpa & Grandma, tormenting the poodles, going to the park, and enjoying all the fun toys he had to play with. Before we knew it, it was time to head home. We flew out of Las Vegas on Thursday night at 11:45pm. We had quite the adventure at the airport. We were going through security with our carry-on's, etc. Well, we got stopped because they said they needed to look through one of our bags. So, they searched the bag and found a bullet in one of the pockets in Mike's pants! He had gone shooting with his brother last week. One of the bullets had misfired so he stuck it in his pocket and forgot about it. So, we had to go to the security office, they had to do a background check on Mike and run some paperwork on him. They were very nice and understanding. So, needless to say...we were able to take off. We landed in Lansing at 6:30am. What a shock that was!!!! We went from 50 degree, no-snow-weather to 20 degree, lots-of-snow-weather! Brrrrr! It was a very long flight. Connor didn't sleep at all until 30 minutes before we landed. So, when we got home we were very ready to go to sleep! Mike and Connor laid down but I couldn't. I had to go to a Dr. appointment. However, when I returned from the Dr. I got some sleep too. Mike and Connor slept from 8:00am-7:00pm, except for getting up for lunch and potty breks. I got home around 12:30pm and slept until 7:30pm. Now we can try to get everything unpacked and get back to normal.

Something Must Be In the Air!!!!!

For a very long time I have been looking for a cute short haircut for my hair. I haven't found one that I absolutely loved until last week!!! I had gone to Maly's to get some hair color to do my sister-in-law's hair. Then it appeared.....the haircut I wanted!!!!! The girl who cut the haircut also was working there that day! So, I made an appointment for today to get it cut!!!! THEN.....my niece, who does nails, asked if she could do a pedicure and manicure on me for Christmas! Gosh! Talk about pampering!!!! The last time I had anything like that done was a year ago! So, I cut my hair off today! It's above my shoulders and is SO FUN!!!!!! A couple hours later I went and got my toes and fingernails done!!! I feel like a new woman! Yay!!!!

85 MORE DAYS....give or take!

Today, as I was enjoying the warming weather of St. George, I got to thinking about the due date of our baby and how much longer we had to go! My due date is March 25th, which would put us at 92 days left. However, because I have to have the baby c-section I will be delivering the baby on either March 17th or 18th! Holy smokes!!!! That's really only 2 1/2 months away....give or take away some time. That's really scary to me! I'm excited for this baby, don't get me wrong. I'm also scared TO DEATH and really worry and wonder if I will be able to tackle this endeavor very well! Being a Mom is really hard for me. I just know that I love Connor to death and want to have another little one to love! I guess that's what keeps me going! Now the question is: Is this baby a boy or girl???? Check out the poll and take a guess!!!

I'm So Hot I Think I'll Melt!!!

So, here I sit at 1:06am on Friday night/Saturday morning.....depending on how you look at it! I decided to check the temperature for outside and to my disbelief it is a BLAZING 30 degrees outside!!!!! Gosh! I'm not used to this heat and think I might die from heat stroke, exhaustion, or some other heat-related problem!!!! I sure hope it goes down to 12 degrees soon so that I may survive! OK....now that I'm done being sarcastic and mostly delirious, I think I will hit the hay, I just may, oh and by the way.....9 DAYS UNTIL WE ARE LEAVIN' ON A JET PLANE!!!!

The Return of the Karate Kid!!!!!

I think my baby-in-the making has a future as the next Karate Kid! Last night I was having a paranoid moment about my baby, being worried that something was wrong. So, Mike put his head to my belly and BOOM....our baby either kicked or punched Mike in the head. So, Mike put his head down again and the same thing happened again! This morning I had a Dr. appointment for the baby. I mentioned my concern about the baby and how I am also concerned because I'm not showing/growing as much and as fast as I did with my other pregnancies. So, he said,"Let's check the heart rate of the baby and we'll go from there." So, Dr. Maser put the heart heart detector on my belly and BOOM....the baby once again either kicked or punched the monitor off my belly! It shocked/scared myself and Dr. Maser. We got a good laugh out of it. Dr. Maser said, "Uh yeah! I think you're baby is just fine!" Needless to say, I feel much better and will be enrolling this child in karate classes after it's a little older! Also, Mike, Connor, and I are unanimous in the vote that this baby IS A BOY!!!!! I know I strongly declared it was a girl at the beginning but that has changed!
